AFFILIATIONS
The
Australian Ski Patrol
Association
was created by the
ski patrols of each state and works to conduct
standardised training and represent the patrols
nationally.
Ski patrolling had developed and been in existence for over 20 years when ASPA was formed in 1972 to nationally co-ordinate their activities. The inaugural President, George Freuden helped to develop ASPA as a federal forum for sharing information and setting the standards for first aid theory and practice, as well as quality practical procedures.
NSWSP is a member of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association.
The Federation Internationale des Patrouilles de Ski (FIPS) is the body that represents all ski patrol organisations world wide. It has regular conferences and workshops to share techniques and knowledge.
